members of the cornell community can take advantage of several different licensing programs for adobe products. some of these programs are available at no cost; others have a fee associated with the license. some extend usage rights to personally-owned equipment while otherprograms are only available to cornell staff and faculty.

old installation of adobe acrobat pro and acrobat xi pro should be turned off. accessing the software brings up a security prompt, which many are unaware of. the prompt should be honored. if you are not able to access your software, please contact your oracle administrator and ask for a license key.
since it is important to download the latest security updates and recommended versions, you should attempt to download updates from the adobe site. if you have trouble getting updates, we suggest that you try downloading the file from a different location. also, please check for new updates at least every two months.
the academy makes available use of the university's computing infrastructure to assist faculty, staff, and students. this gives access to the following campuses: atkinson center for a sustainable future, cornell tech, geophysical laboratory, institute of industrial engineers, and the william and ida taft laboratory of electronics. users will need to contact the campus computing services help desk if they wish to use these systems. software can be downloaded from the mit app store. users may apply for a license for the vdi by contacting david montgomerty, dmonteith@cornell.edu.
software is not supplied to students. all students are required to have a license for academic use in their area of study at their home institution. students are not eligible for the adobe creative cloud. an individual license is required to install adobe software on a computer assigned to a student.
